This online course focuses on identifying, managing, and reducing construction-related risks to promote safe and productive jobsites. Students will learn risk management strategies, safety responsibilities, hazard prevention, equipment maintenance, and problem-solving techniques, along with the documentation and insurance principles essential to effective construction management. Each week students will have online class discussions and a quiz. Course modules will be made available to students on Sunday of each week (no live instruction is provided, classes are asynchronous giving students access 24/7). Class work must be completed before the following Monday. Students will not be able to work ahead of the class but the reading assignments will be made available in advance. Modules will become available on dates posted on the course calendar.
