Flooring Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Flooring Estimator to join our team. As a Flooring Estimator, you will play a crucial role in assessing project requirements, estimating costs, and ensuring accurate bids for flooring installation projects. Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with clients, architects, and project managers to understand flooring project specifications.
• Conduct on-site assessments to measure and evaluate flooring areas.
• Prepare detailed estimates, including material costs, labor, and other project expenses.
• Utilize industry-standard software and tools to create accurate project bids.
• Communicate effectively with vendors, subcontractors, and team members.
• Stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and product availability.
• Provide exceptional customer service and address client inquiries promptly.
• Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine the scope of work and materials required.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and negotiations with clients.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Flooring Estimator or similar role.
• Proficiency in using estimating software and tools.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Knowledge of flooring materials, installation techniques, and industry standards.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field (preferred)
• Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles, practices, and techniques
• Proficiency in project management, cost control, and construction management
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Excellent mathematical skills for accurate quantity take-offs and cost calculations
• Strong negotiation skills to obtain competitive pricing from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
