Construction Estimator

Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate cost estimate for commercial construction projects
• Review local project listings and identify bidding opportunities 
• Solicit and manage bids from qualified subcontractors and suppliers
• Perform quantity take-offs for work that will not be subcontracted.
• Maintain ongoing communication with subcontractors and suppliers throughout the bidding process
• Compile subcontractor and supplier quotations and enter into estimating program
• Prepare an finalize bid documents, including signatures, notarization, and timely submission
• Procuring the required bonds from bonding agent.
• Collaborate with team members to develop final bid pricing strategies
• Attend pre-bid meetings

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in estimating
• Able to accurately read and interpret construction documents including plans, specifications and work scopes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with architects, owners, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal team members
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines while working both independently and collaboratively
• Training and support will be provided to help the right candidate succeed in the role.
