This online course provides a foundation in construction law and the legal principles that govern the industry. Students will learn contract fundamentals, legal responsibilities, risk management, dispute prevention, the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), and the roles of contractors and architects. Additional topics include bonds, liens, waivers, and strategies for minimizing legal liability and construction defects.

The course will be taught in ten modules. Each module lasts one week. In that week students will read through the online lectures, participate in online discussion, take a quiz and submit a homework assignment using the IRAC format.
